It does have impressive zoom, but none of that is even relevant anyway because I can't find it. . .
I've been lusting for an Olympus with underwater capabilities, meaning one from he Stylus line. They've gotten down to 250 bucks, about 100 more than I'd like to spend and 50 over my overflow of 50 dollars I expect myself to overextend. Also, their megapixability is a little low. Part of me says don't settle for less than 12 but is a slightly lower quality overshadowed by the water capabilites? I doubt I would really use it much but it could be cool to do some sort of exposition in the rain. Salty ocean water seems like it may be some sort of loophole also in the abilities of the camera, at least I feel like it should be. How can a camera survive? I guess it has to shower off after a swim too =]

Sony makes an extremely attractive slide-front that is both over my budget and doesn't go underwater but everyone I know with slide-fronts aka Liz and Katty Pants have always taken really fantastic photos. It has a touch screen on the back which might be too fancy for me. I dont know if I will even enjoy breaking out of film again AND lacking a single eye viewfinder . . . let alone having a touch screen for all the previewing and setting of "flower" mode.
It's a little odd that on my blog titled after my 35mm that I LOVE that one of my first posts would be about getting a digi but for the purposes of this space I think it might be necessary. I'm hoping to start keeping track of creative interesting lifestyle trends. or some shit like that; photography I take as art, and documentation (where digi comes in) of things like: crafts I make, places I go, items i purchase, food I taste, food I make, music I hear, etc. we'll see how it goes!. This is hopefully the beginning of an epic journey of fabulousness that will mean something to someone. Maybe me!
