Vanity Glutton
I succumb to so many deadly sins its ridiculous. Mostly (but completely not limited to . . . ) gluttony, greed, and sloth. Often times they combine forces against me and have recently culminated in a 50 dollar Sephora makeup palette purchase. It is really a fantastic combination of:
- 94 eyeshadows (6 of which are special sparkle kind)
- 60 lip glosses
- 3 blushes (2 pinks, one bronze)
- 12 creme eyeliners
- 5 eye pencils
- 4 various applicators/tools

- built in mirror
So far all I've tried are glossy brown tints that I thought might be used the least so if I wield the brush poorly etc. it won't be a big deal. Turns out it is fantastic and if the ones I have expected to be a little useless/not pretty are great than I can only imagine how fun it's going to be to use the rest! wahoo! more to come with results of wear etc. =]

minus 11 hours till Bauer Haus Gardens is revealed
For my Thought & Image Humanities class I have to design a garden and then compare/contrast its design and inspiration to that of Italian Renaissance, French Formal, Chinese Landscape, one other that I can't remember . . . style gardens. I've been thinking about it for awhile but the real time to begin is . . . NOW! We'll see how it goes. Took an unintentional stony nap in the middle of the day so i should have the NRG needed.

Canon I Have Betrayed Thee
Soooo I totally got my digital and totally forgot to post about it!
Probably only 12 hours after i got paid on Friday I was at Best Buy scopin the scene. I would have gone back to Wolf Camera in the Castro but while I was searching for a nice point and shoot, theirs were too nice. The high end of the price range i was going for was their low sooo. . . .
BUT I didn't settle! The one I got was on sale but it is actually a better camera than the Kodak and Sony I was considering. According to me and some sort of ranking system I made up the brand quality order, from lowest to highest is Kodak, Olympus, then Sony and right in the middle is a place I'm happy to be for now.
Anyway, time to reveal my decision:
ta da!
Olympus FE 4010!!
The Olympus website says it is a *new* style, but out of the list of fes it is one of the least impressive . . . but in its price range fantastic!
12 mp, which I would not let myself be without (despite the temptation of a $250 underwater 10 mp . . . ) and a wide angle lens built in with 4x zoom capabilities, while everyone else had 3. Lots of features and flower macro settings and party mode, so its lookin pretty solid so far for what I need it to do. I'm not used to working with flash though and have a tendency to turn it off because it looks bad on the lcd but once they're blown up on the computer it looks fine -- I need to learn to trust in the camera!

Second Breakfast

Patti and I found this table. I don't really need it or have much space but I am defs a fan of it's shape and its in pretty good condish so, why not walk it 2 blocks away to a new home? I drew and cut out a stencil and painted it wallpaper style onto the top. I plan to paint the legs to finish it off and possibly gloss it? we'll see. The pattern is an attempt at baroque flowers but looks more like fancily cut paper snowflakes. Originally I wanted the pattern to be subtle . . . in a sort of cream color on the white maybe? but instead of mixing white paint with brown I used yellow. The coloring was all uneven and bugging the heck out of me and only looked good when I crouched down with the surface being eye level. Solution: outline with a darker color, which ended up being green. The result (so far): Tea Time*!!
*table also suitable for (but not limited to) Hobbits enjoying:-breakfast
-second breakfast
-elevenses
-luncheon
-afternoon tea
-dinner
-supper
